Service FAQ
Do we need to decontaminate instruments before shipping?
Yes. For safety and regulatory reasons, we require that all instruments be decontaminated before they leave your facility. When you schedule a repair, we provide simple instructions and documentation to guide your team through the process.
How long does a typical depot repair take?
Turnaround time depends on the instrument type and parts availability, but most repairs are completed promptly thanks to our stocked inventory of common components. Priority service is available if you need your instrument back as quickly as possible.
Which instruments and manufacturers do you support?
Our primary focus is cell washers and benchtop centrifuges, but we also service a variety of related laboratory instruments. If you’re unsure, simply contact us or use the scheduler and tell us the model and manufacturer—we’ll confirm support before you ship.
How is pricing determined—hourly or flat rate?
We offer both options. Many clients prefer a flat-rate structure for predictability, while others choose hourly billing for complex or unique repairs. During the evaluation stage, we’ll recommend the most cost-effective option based on your specific instrument and issues.
Will I receive documentation after the repair?
Absolutely. Every depot repair includes a detailed service report covering diagnostics, parts replaced, calibration results, and final performance verification. This documentation can be used for internal quality records and accreditation inspections.
What if the instrument is not repairable?
If we determine that repair is not economical or technically feasible, we will contact you with our findings. In many cases, we can suggest alternatives such as sourcing a replacement or recertified instrument and transferring usable parts where appropriate.
Do you provide support before we decide to ship?
Yes. Our Technical Support Scheduler allows you to book a consult with an engineer who can help you decide whether a depot repair, on-site troubleshooting, or a different solution makes the most sense for your situation.
